Colegio Maravillas offers you a preparation course in our centre of Benalmadena (Malaga) combined with a work experience in a Spanish company for a period of at least 5 and max. 24 weeks. (only available for EU citizens), providing an opportunity to gain new experiences, to develop Business skills and to build an impressive C.V.
Trainees study for a minimum of 2 weeks (20 lessons per week). At the end of their studies they should have achieved an Intermediate level.
In case the students has a lower level of the language he/she will have to extend the preparation course until reaching the correct level. The student then begins the work experience.
Placements are usually made in small to medium sized companies in Malaga and the Costa del Sol area (Torremolinos, Benalmadena etc.) mainly in the Tourism sector. Here are some options:
Travel agencies, Car rentals, Real estates, Newspapers, Hotel administration, Guides associations, Advertising, Marketing, Sales...
The type of placement offered depends on the trainee's qualifications, education, experience and language ability.
Conditions:
· Minimum age: 18 years
· Intermediate level of Spanish
· EU citizen
· Be enrolled in an University or an Higher Education College
Application procedures:
· The trainee should send a comprehensive CV, Work Experience Application form and a letter of introduction explaining what type of work experience they would like, why and a short description of themselves.
This helps us arrange a placement suited to the trainee's needs The documents should be sent at least 8 weeks before the start of the course and in Spanish.
· We confirm the acceptance of the student on the work experience course and we ask the student to call us for a short interview to discuss his/her needs and options available.
· The Work Experience Officer will contact suitable companies and information of the companies will be sent to the trainee.
· Once the trainee and the company agree to the placement we finalize the arrangements and inform about the accommodation, if required.
· The Work Experience Officer keeps in contact with the trainee to monitor the progress.
· At the end of the work Experience the students receive a report a reference.
· Applicants must send all documents in Spanish
Accommodation:
We provide accommodation with selected host families or in shared apartments either for the whole period or during the language course only.
The accommodation will be within walking distance to the school but there might be some distance from to the company. The applicant must be prepared to use public transport to the working site.
